Write to us

Shiv Puran is a small, independent project, and we are glad to hear from readers. There is no contact form. You can write by email, using the address below.

What you can write about

• A correction. If a chapter number, a name, or a line does not match the text, please tell us. Each correction is checked against the source before a page is changed.
• A suggestion. A story, mantra, or teaching you would like to see, or a part of a page that was hard to follow.
• Permission to republish. Our original wording may not be republished or used commercially without asking first. The terms explain what is already allowed. If you need more, ask here.

What to include

For a correction, it helps to give:

• the page address, or the title of the page;
• the sentence you think is wrong;
• the passage you checked, with its citation (the text, the Samhita, the chapter and, if you have it, the verse) and the edition you read, because chapter numbers differ between editions;
• what you think it should say.

For a permission request, please say what you would like to use and where it would appear.

A note on replies

We read what you send, but we cannot promise a reply or say how soon one will come. Thank you for your patience, and for helping keep these pages faithful to the text. To learn how the pages are written and checked, see the About page.
